Social Skills Groups
Social Skills Groups
As children build social skills in individualized 1:1 services, many are ready for opportunities to practice those skills in a dynamic group setting. A Social Skills Group (SSG) can provide a supportive environment where children can strengthen peer relationships, expand their communication skills, and build confidence in a variety of social situations.
Sage Behavior Services offers a comprehensive Social Skills Group program grounded in evidence-based ABA strategies. Our groups are designed to support children in developing meaningful social connections, cooperation, perspective-taking, and flexible thinking, and problem-solving skills. We focus on helping children generalize such skills across people, situations, and settings while honoring each individual’s social communication style and strengths.
Our SSG’s are thoughtfully formed by age and developmental level to ensure an engaging and supportive experience. Sessions provide structured learning opportunities along with guided peer interaction so children can practice skills in real-time with guidance and encouragement from Sage staff.
Each Social Skills Group is overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), with sessions led by a Master’s-level supervisor and supported by trained 1:1 staff.
